Our class has just finished reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner! To wrap up our unit, we’ll be watching the movie version and exploring how the story changes when it’s brought to the screen. Students will compare characters, setting, and themes from the book to the film to build their critical thinking and discussion skills. They are also allowed to bring snacks to enjoy during the movie.
The movie is rated PG-13 for some action and intense scenes. If a parent or guardian prefers that their student not watch the movie, please contact the school by Thursday at 9:00 am so an alternate assignment can be provided.
