My 7th grade class has finished our fourth class novel, Ghost. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a movie; however, I have found one that is similar. For our end of the novel movie, we will be watching McFarland, USA. This movie is about Coach Jim White, who helps transform struggling high school students into a championship cross-country team, finding community, purpose, and overcoming cultural barriers to achieve the American dream. It is rated PG. We will be looking for similarities and differences between our book and this movie. If for any reason you do not want your student to watch the movie, please call the office by 9:00 am tomorrow morning.

7th-8th grade Social Studies students were honored to have Russell Eagle Bear come to our school and visit with them about Native American history. He brings many years of historical information on the native tribes in and around South Dakota. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
