The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held on April 16th, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Laura Kirsch Room. There will be 8 students being inducted. The National Honor Society is lead by Casey Krogman.
I would like to send a quick THANK YOU to Marc Marshall for being at all the events and taking pictures of our students in their activities. The pictures are being used in the Mellette County News, the yearbook, on the school website, and many more places. Many parents use the photos as well. What a keepsake!

The Sophomore Class is responsible for doing concessions at the home
high school volleyball games. Out of 30 students, 3 worked very hard and
earned their 25 points. They were presented with a $25.00 gift certificate
to the Wig Wam. L to R, Autum Driesbaugh, Mikaela O'Leary, and Taylor Sykora.
The students at WRHS have the opportunity to win some fun Valentine's Day goodies! Students will receive a ticket for every day they are in school for the entire day (no exceptions: no tickets will be given for parent request, dr appts, arriving to school late, etc).
Each student can earn up to 17 tickets.
Drawing will be on Valentine's Day during Homeroom. You must be present to win!

All state 2023
Having fun, learning a lot and making memories at 2023 all state choir!
All state choir is underway! And yes our kids are in that mass of kids! 932 singers from all over the state!
Oral Interp participants will compete on Monday, October 30 in Chamberlain. The Oral Interp team is directed by Tammie Foley.

The all-state concert will be broadcast live on SDPB TV and will be rebroadcast on Thanksgiving Day. Students representing White River are Savannah Knispel, soprano, Brooklynn White Hat, alto, Brendy Bartlett, tenor and Liam White Hat, bass.
Good Luck Elijah and Kingston as they represent White River at the state XC meet in Sioux Falls this weekend!! GO TIGERS!

Mrs. Twite took 16 students to Region Band on Monday, October 16. Region Band was held in Kadoka this year. The students practiced their songs all day and had a performance that evening. Good job Tigers!
