WRHS will be starting Lunch Academy on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Students will have an opportunity for academic support during this time period.

TUTORING OPPORTUNITY

WRHS has daily mandatory tutoring for all students with 3 or more Missing Assignments during lunch. Lunch is provided for students.
ACT testing will be March 24 and 25, 2026. The ACT test has replaced Smarter Balance as the State of South Dakota mandated assessment for juniors. Please remind your junior student(s) that they will be testing on those dates. Thank you.
WRHS Prom and Post Prom activities are scheduled for April 18, 2026. Prom and Post Prom Permission Forms are available in the principal's office. Reminder: The MS/HS Spring Fine Arts program is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Don Barnhart Gymnasium.
The 17th Annual Boys/Girls Great Plains Senior All-Star Basketball Games will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The girls game starts at 6:00 PM. This will be followed by the dunk contest. The boys game is expected to start about 8:00 PM. During the half time of the two games, there will be a 3 point contest.
The games feature Seniors from 18 different schools.
Admission for adults is $6.00 and students is $4.00. The games will also be livestreamed on the YouTube TigerTV channel.
Concessions will be available: Indian Tacos, nachos, super nachos, popcorn, candy, and drinks.
This is a fundraiser for the boys basketball team. Doors open at 5:00 PM.

The White River Schools will have Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, April 25 beginning at 4:00 PM. This is the perfect time to meet with your child(rens) teacher to make sure they are on the right path for a strong finish to the school year.
Students will be dismissed at 3:15 PM that day. There is no school on Friday, April 26th.
