“If you make your bed every morning, you have already accomplished something for the day”
This week, we welcomed parent speaker Dr. Tammy Keller, who visited our 8th grade math class to share an engaging talk on Preparedness. Dr. Keller connected real-life examples to the habits we encourage in school—coming to class ready, staying organized, and using the “First 10” expectations to start each day successfully.
She emphasized how being prepared isn’t just a school skill—it’s a life skill. Whether it’s getting ready for the day, planning ahead for responsibilities, or staying focused during challenges, preparedness helps build confidence and independence. Our students were attentive and reflective as they listened.
We are grateful to Dr. Keller for taking the time to support our learners and strengthen the partnership between school and families. Moments like these help our students see the real-world value of what they practice every day in the classroom.
