State basketball

The White River Tigers wrapped up their regular season with an impressive record of 18-2. They entered post season playing as the #1 seed in the state. Having the higher seed, the Tigers hosted their first game in Regions against the Oelrich's Tigers in which the White River Tigers won 98-19. Second round saw the Tigers facing the Jones County Coyotes. White River took the early lead and didn't look back. White River defeat the Coyotes 64-47.

The Tigers advance to the SODAK16 on Tuesday, March 5 playing in Stanley County verses the Highmore-Harold Pirates. The Tigers win 65-47 and head to the State tournament in Aberdeen for the 19th consecutive year!

The Tigers made their yearly trek up to Aberdeen to play in the State tournament meeting the Viborg-Hurley Cougars in an early afternoon game on Thursday. Tigers advance to the 2nd round after beating the Cougars 72-57. The Tigers faced the Howard Tigers on Friday evening. The White River Tigers battled but came up short 42-48. Saturday evening the Tigers were met by the Castlewood Warriors. The Tigers and the Warriors fought for the 3rd plaque finish, but the Tigers came up short 54-74. White River ended their season with a 4th place finish and a record of 22-4.
