WRSD Educational Philosophy

The community of White River, its students, parents, teachers, administrators and Board of Education have the responsibility to prepare our students for a productive role in a democratic society. Learning should be a continuous process for our students, including opportunities for learning basic academic and technological skills and exploring general, vocational, and extracurricular areas of interest. Separate curricular entities must come together in an interdisciplinary approach in order for each student to achieve maximum growth mentally, emotionally, and physically.

You can drop off your own household recycling in Pierre / Ft Pierre!  Drop them off at Envirotech recycling bins in either location!  They have bins for plastics (1 & 2) , Tin Cans, Cardboard and Newspapers (last two may vary)

4010 E Hwy 34 on the east side of pierre.... 1-800-499-4804  or use the recycle bins located in Fort Pierre on the west side of the road across from
Sutleys or the one located in the alley behind DakotaMart (used to be Red Owl).

If you are traveling to Pierre anyhow why not take your recycleable materials with you?

Save pop cans to drop off at collection locations to support non profit groups!

Start a compost bin in your yard for kitchen waste or start a worm bin.....

Between the two see how much you can cut down the amount of trash you send to the curb!!!
